Introducing our new Uprock Coach Jacket. Inspired by the club jackets of 80's and 90's b-boy crews and hip hop icons. The name Uprock often also referred to as Toprock comes from the freestyle standing moves street dancers used to express their style. This jacket crafted in Los Angeles, CA represents that style element with an elevated and clean cut approach with buttons instead of the standard snaps, functional cuffs over the usual elastic at the sleeves and a clean bottom hem without the drawcord. Two special design details that were added are the flip up storm collar closure and an interior pocket perfect for a phone, headphones, passport, etc.
For this jacket we found a perfect lightweight Wax Cotton/Nylon Poplin from Japan Amaterrace Mills, in a beautiful golden khaki color that we're appropriately named 'Cali Gold'. Japanese Amaterrace Mills is known for making high performance sports, outdoors and casual fabrics that are made to the highest of quality standards. This particular lightweight waxed poplin is water resistant and will bead water off on contact and in heavy showers dry quickly to keep your head dry. Waxed fabrics are also known to patina with heavy wear as well, so it's perfect to wear for everyday errands or on your next destination trip.
The jacket is also fully lined with a lightweight black herringbone twill with the words ‘believe’ printed all over because wax garments tend to get uncomfortable with skin contact, so this will keep the wearer dry and comfortable.
